Benson Boone burst onto the mainstream in 2024 with “Beautiful Things,” a sweeping, emotionally charged pop anthem that hit No. 1 in multiple countries and cracked the top five on the Billboard Hot 100. The track’s blend of raw vulnerability and stadium-sized production made it inescapable on streaming platforms and social media alike, turning Boone from a cult favourite into a certified global star virtually overnight.
Born on June 9, 2002, in Monroe, Washington, Boone grew up in a large family with eight siblings and was raised in the Mormon faith, a background that shaped both his values and his eventual relocation to Utah. He first caught public attention when he auditioned for American Idol Season 19 in 2021, wowing the judges before voluntarily withdrawing to pursue a record deal independently. That bet paid off: he signed with Night Street/Warner Records and released his debut album Fireworks & Rollerblades in 2024.
Beyond his voice, Boone’s live performances set him apart. He’s known for acrobatic stage moves, backflips, splits, full-body theatrics, that make his shows genuinely unpredictable. That physicality, combined with his powerfully emotive tenor, has earned him comparisons to early Freddie Mercury-era showmanship, and it’s also the source of a very specific corner of internet fame.
He toured as a support act for major artists before headlining his own dates, and his fanbase, fiercely devoted and overwhelmingly online, drives near-constant search traffic around his personal life, his background, and his next moves. That curiosity is what lands most people on this page.
